Bulgaria offers excellent living conditions, careers and development in the IT sector and professionals in the field live much better than their colleagues in the Silicon Valley, accentuated Svetlin Nakov, founder of SoftUni, at the opening of the event, which was held under the motto “Stay here where your story matters. ” The thesis was supported by the other participants in the conference, including Sofia Mayor Yordanka Fandakova, The President Rosen Plevneliev, and also many entrepreneurs and managers from leading companies in the country.
In the exhibition part of the conference, the visitors had the opportunity to get acquainted with the activities of the leading technology companies in Bulgaria. They also had the chance to find some prospects for career development. More than 70 Bulgarian and foreign specialists shared their personal experience and shared invaluable advice from the stage of the three halls in which parallel lectures and workshops were held. Participants could engage in pre-set challenges to demonstrate their talents and skills to impress their future employers.

Attention was drawn to the specially organised ICO Pitch, which featured four blockchain startups – Kama Games, Noble, TraDEX Social and WeiDex. They were judged by an expert jury that distinguished some of the founders of successful blockchain projects such as Nikola Stoyanov from Aeternity Ventures, Nikola Yanev, representative of the Bulgarian venture capital fund Eleven and Michele Shueli from the boutique advisory company Armyn. The winner was “Noble” – an innovative platform to help hire top talents in high-tech companies through recommendations. “Noble” aims to make the recruitment process quicker, more comfortable and more efficient through a network of influencers, industry experts and business leaders.
The Soft Unit Conf ended up with an after-party party where participants, lecturers and guests exchanged contacts and discussed the latest topics from the conference under the sounds of DJ Doncho and Lora Karadjova’s and Tita’s most popular hits. After the success of the event, the organisers are already preparing the second edition for the next year.

“We have achieved the most important goal of each new start and project. We aimed to create a positive emotion and added value for both the exhibitors and companies that have supported us, as well as for the visitors who have learned practical knowledge and established contacts with the right ones for their development experts and companies from the digital industry” commented Petar Lozanov, co-founder of FlyEvents.
